Why we recommend this wine
A family-owned winery that farms organically and produces great tasting wine – this ticks all our boxes.

The wine
Ruby red, with hints of mature red fruits, blackberry jam and slight notes of cinnamon and vanilla. Balanced and harmonious with a touch of pleasant, sweet tannins, this wine is full-bodied, soft and dry, uncomplicated. In addition to being certified organic it is also a vegan wine.

The wine estate
Donatello Jasci’s winery is at the foot of the Abruzzi, just a few kilometers away from the Adriatic Sea. Since 1980, Jasci wines have been certified organic by the Soil and Health Association, which guarantees the organic production of their grapes as well as the entire wine making process. Donatello Jasci recently took over the reins of this prestigious Abruzzi winery founded by the grandfather Pasquale, tending the vineyards himself, painstakingly and by hand, every day.

Food and wine
With its ripe red fruit taste, soft tannins and good acidity this is ideal for tomato-based pasta dishes, barbecues and cold meats. Also see our guide to pairing food and wine here.

Did you know?
Jasci use a Nomacorc closure that is derived from sustainable, renewable sugarcane-based raw materials that is obviously re-cyclable.
