Six ready-to-drink, excellent quality red Bordeaux from six different levels in the Bordeaux hierarchy of wine (the 1855 classification and the more recent 2020 Cru Bourgeois one) – a real treat! Limited edition, only 10 packs remaining.
Why we recommend these wines
2016 was a great vintage in Bordeaux. The 750ml bottles are not drinking yet but half bottles are getting there. Even though the wines are ready to drink they will benefit from decanting about an hour before you want to savour them.

Did you know?
Classed Growths or Grand crus classé came into existence in 1855 when Napoleon III, emperor of France, decided to hold a Universal Exposition in Paris, aka a world trade fair, and wanted all the country's wines to be represented. He invited Bordeaux's Chamber of Commerce to arrange an exhibit. They passed the buck to the Syndicat of Courtiers, an organization of wine merchants. Being traders of wine they looked at the prices that the wines fetched and drew up a list comprising 58 châteaus: four first-growths, 12 seconds, 14 thirds, 11 fourths and 17 fifths. The only formal revision to this list came in 1973 when Mouton-Rothschild was elevated to first-growth status.
