Red Burgundy Tasting Pack

£89.00

Compare red Burgundies ranging form the relatively full bodied Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges to the lighter bodied Savigny-Les-Beaune and Hautes-Côtes de Beaune.

In the rankings of wine in Burgundy, the lowest is Bourgogne Rouge which comes from vineyards furthest away from the hillsides where the great Burgundies are. The next rung up is wine from the hills above the hillsides called Hautes-Côtes de Nuits or Hautes-Côtes de Beaune depending on which village they are to the west of. Then come the Village wines which are named after the village they are closest to. Finally there are the Premier Crus and the Grand Crus which are given the name of the vineyard whence they come.

This tasting pack contains an Hautes-Côtes and three Village wines so that one can compare the different classifications and the different styles of wine from three of the great Burgundy villages. More details about each wine are available from their respective individual product pages.

As in all tasting packs, the wines included are those that are currently available individually on halfwine.com. Click here to see the wines included.
