Susy Atkins compares Beaujolais to Burgundy and Bordeaux but we have substituted the former with Syrah from the northern Rhone because we think it makes finer wines than the Gamay grape from Beaujolais. Being able to tell these wines apart is the essence of knowing your red wines.
